Angel’s been pretty good. She’ll make noises in the middle of the night but I’m hoping it’s a kitten thing so she’ll grow out of it. Kittens just have a lot of energy, I suppose.

Yeah, well, how old were you? I mean, we’ve all killed a fish in our days.

Well, when they grow old they’re usually a lot calmer. I guess that’s why some people don’t like cats.

I was fourteen. My problem is that I can be clumsy at times, but I mean, I could try to keep a fish.

peterslifetimerole:

Um, you know cats are nocturnal, right?

And a scratching post is what you’re talking about. Maybe you shouldn’t get a cat. Maybe a fish instead. They’re pretty cool, too.

I do, but they don’t make half as much noise as hamsters do. But, then, thinking about it, my old cat used to scratch me in the middle of the night.

Oh, I actually never knew what the name of that was. Well, the last time I had a fish I accidentally gave him too much food and it died. I should get a plant. What about a cactus? I could handle one of those… I think.

But aren’t pets totally worth it in the end? I mean, you don’t even have to get a cat or a dog, for all you care! Hamsters are pretty cute, too.

Totally Rent. Why would a music theatre kid name anything Angel if it wasn’t after Angel Dumott Schunard?

Well, that they are. But honestly, I’d rather get a cat or dog, hamsters make a lot of sound during the night, and I need sleep.

Maybe I can get a cat and name it Mimi. Then I can get one of those things they scratch and call it the “Cat Scratch Club”.

peterslifetimerole:

Then one it is. You can always pick one that always seems to show up all the time, take it to a shelter to make sure it isn’t actually hiding a disease and BAM now you have a pet.

As much as Kat II would’ve been quite an appropriate name, Bobby came over and eventually the name Angel came up, so that’s what her name is.

That would actually not be so bad. I’d have to think about it, though, since it would take a lot of work.

Oh, that’s cute! Is it named after Angel from Rent or was it random?

I never said you need to keep them all, just the cute less-diseased looking ones. Maybe a puppy or something. Besides, how do you even manage to get stray animals to follow you home anyways? I can only get my own cat to follow me to the food bowl.

image

One. The cute less-diseased looking one. I wouldn’t be able to handle more. Well, they usually stare at my food with those puppy-eyes, and I can’t say no to a poor little dog, so I give them a piece, and they follow me around until I give them more. Oh, what did you end up calling your cat? Something more creative than Kat II, I presume?

It would be wonderful! Having a little fury friend always makes things a little better that’s for sure.

It would have to be calm, though, or else I’ll have to say goodbye to all of my furniture.

Who ever said you had to let go of them?

image

Well, they probably carry a lot of diseases, despite being cute. And trust me, if I kept all of them, I would need a much bigger place.

Maybe that’s a sign that you should adopt one?

Maybe. My apartment is too empty anyway, so having some company wouldn’t be all that bad.

How does that even happen? I’ve never had a dog or cat follow me home.

You know what they say, food is the way into any animal’s heart.

Stray dogs should stop following me home, because letting go of them is very hard.
